Writing with Art (with Joe)

A 5-Week Zoom Workshop—plus Write Away!

$325 / $275 members $195

Using visual art to improve your writing chops

What can a painting teach you about writing a work of fiction? Can studying the art of 17th century painter Artemisia Gentileschi improve your use of adjectives? Is there something to be learned about building tension in your writing by looking at one of Mark Rothko’s color field works?

In this 5-week workshop, we will be asking these questions, exploring the techniques and aesthetics employed by visual artists from many different eras and schools of art as a means of building our writing skills.
